Papal Nuncio attends Synodal Pathway event
An event took place on Wednesday 18th May at Dromantine Retreat and Conference Centre as part of the synodal pathway process for Dromore.
The Papal nuncio, His Excellency Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo, was in attendance along with Archbishop Eamon Martin. In his remarks, Archbishop Okolo echoed the words that Pope Francis said to him at the end of his visit to Ireland: ‘There is faith here.’ He thanked everyone who contributed to the synodal pathway in Dromore. Archbishop Okolo has been in Ireland for five years. He is Nigerian, and he was the first African nuncio to Ireland. He will leave Ireland soon for a new assignment in the Czech Republic. We wish him every blessing for his new role.
